Introduction

Good afternoon, 

I just wanted to introduce myself. In a bit of a reshuffle I am taking over Brentford East as the Neighbourhood Sergeant. I have been Ward Sgt for the whole of Chiswick for the last 18 months and am being joined by a second Sgt who will be focusing on Riverside and Homefields. This will leave me to focus on Brentford East and Chiswick Gunnersbury. There is a lot of cross over crime between Chiswick and Brentford such a vehicle crime and other theft offences, we will be working together as a cluster of Wards to proactively target offending.

Met Engage is quite a new system which we are still building up our membership on, in Chiswick we have had a really good uptake with well over 1000 residents signed up. When I started taking over Brentford East a few weeks ago there was only 37 though. We are proactively trying to sign more people up and are nearly up to 100 already which is a good start for a couple of weeks. What I would ask is that you let any of your neighbours and residents groups know about Met Engage and encourage them to sign up. It is a good way that we can hear from yourselves what your concerns are and what we should be focusing on. It also allows us to communicate with you what we are doing as we like to give updates on activity and alert you to crime trends.
